Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

• • Duration: 4½ years (4 Years + 6 months internship)

  • Medium of Instruction: English

  • Eligibility: Students shall have Passed all the subjects of PUC Examination conducted by Boards /councils / Intermediate established by state Government / Central Government & recognized as a 2 year pre university Examination.

    The candidate must have obtained not less than 45% in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Biology but for SC, ST & category I not less than 40% instead not less than 45%.

  • Age: A candidate seeking admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy course should have completed 17 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission.

BPT Subjects & Internship:

During 4 years students undergoes learning & examination of various subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Biomechanics, Psychology, Sociology, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Exercisetherapy, Electrotherapy, General Medicine, General surgery, orthopaedics & traumatology, Musculoskeletal & sports Physiotherapy, Cardio – respiratory & General physiotherapy, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Community Medicine, Neuro Physiotherapy, Community physiotherapy, Research Methodology & Biostatistics.

After cleared all the subjects, 6 months compulsory rotatory internship will be given in the Shridevi Research Hospital at several departments.
